Community Guidelines

Effective date: 19 September 2026

Repvia is for people who want to get fitter, stronger and healthier together. Everyone is at a different point, so keep it supportive. These guidelines apply everywhere in the app: profiles, the activity feed, comments, reactions, challenges, direct messages, shared items, community recipes and foods, and coaching.

You must be at least 16 to use Repvia. Breaking these guidelines is also a breach of our Terms of Service.

Be supportive

Not allowed

Harassment and bullying. No insults, threats, intimidation, repeated unwanted contact, or pile-ons. Don't mock anyone's body, weight, ability or appearance, and don't make unsolicited negative comments about those things.

Hate. No content that attacks people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, serious illness, immigration status, caste, or any other protected characteristic.

Sexual content and intimate images. No nudity or sexually explicit content, and no sexual messages to people who haven't welcomed them. Progress photos shared anywhere in the app (feed, messages, coaching or elsewhere) must keep underwear or swimwear areas covered with opaque clothing or equivalent. Do not share, threaten to share, or solicit intimate or sexual images of another person without their consent (including so-called "revenge porn"). Any sexual content involving minors is strictly prohibited and will be reported to the relevant authorities (see below).

Child safety and grooming. Adults must not engage in romantic, sexual or manipulative contact with users under 18. Misrepresenting your age to contact younger users, or soliciting personal information or private images from minors, will result in an immediate permanent ban and a report to the authorities.

Violence, terrorism and dangerous behaviour. No threats of violence, glorification of violence, encouragement of dangerous stunts, or terrorist or violent-extremist content, recruitment or propaganda.

Self-harm and disordered eating. Do not promote or encourage self-harm, suicide, extreme calorie restriction, purging, or other disordered eating, and do not share "thinspiration"-style content or "tips" for these. Talking about your own struggles and recovery is welcome. Challenges must not promote extreme calorie restriction, excessive exercise, rapid weight-loss targets, or other behaviour that could cause physical harm — we may remove unsafe challenges even if harm was not intended.

If you or someone you know is struggling with an eating disorder, contact Beat (beateatingdisorders.org.uk) in the UK or the National Alliance for Eating Disorders (allianceforeatingdisorders.com) in the US, or your local crisis line. See also our Health & Fitness Disclaimer.

Dangerous health claims. Do not promote illegal drugs, non-prescribed steroids or other performance-enhancing drugs, unsafe supplements, or medical misinformation. Do not tell people to ignore medical advice.

Spam and scams. No advertising, affiliate links, pyramid schemes, fake giveaways, or repetitive posts. Coaches can mention their own services on their profile, but must not spam users.

Impersonation and fake accounts. Don't pretend to be someone else, and don't create accounts to get around a ban or block.

Privacy and doxxing. Don't share other people's personal information, private messages or photos without their permission. Do not publish or compile someone's personal details (such as name, address, workplace, phone number or gym location) to harass, intimidate or endanger them.

Illegal content and intellectual property. Don't post anything illegal. Don't post content you don't have the rights to, such as copying a recipe book or another person's photos.

Community recipes and foods

Contribute nutrition information as accurately as you can. Deliberately wrong or joke entries will be removed. Remember that community and database nutrition data is not verified for allergens — see our Health & Fitness Disclaimer.

Coaches

Coaches must be honest about their qualifications, respect client privacy and boundaries, and only use client data to coach that client. Don't pressure clients to share progress photos or anything else they're not comfortable sharing. Coaches are subject to all of these guidelines, including rules on dangerous health claims and disordered eating. Nutrition plans or advice that promote extreme restriction or unsafe practices may result in removal from coaching features.

Reporting and blocking

If you see something that breaks these guidelines, report it using the report option on the post, comment, message or profile. You can block anyone at any time; they won't be told. We treat reports as confidential and do not tell the reported person who filed the report, except where we are legally required to disclose information.

Direct messages: messages are not end-to-end encrypted. When a message is reported, we may review the reported message and surrounding conversation for context. See our Privacy Policy for details.

If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.

Child sexual abuse material (CSAM). We prohibit it completely. We will remove it, preserve evidence as required, and report it to the appropriate authorities — including NCMEC (US) and/or the IWF / NCA (UK) as applicable — as quickly as practicable and in line with the law.

What happens when guidelines are broken

We aim to review reports promptly, but we cannot guarantee that every violation will be caught or acted on immediately. Depending on how serious it is and whether it has happened before, we may remove content, issue a warning, temporarily restrict features (such as posting or messaging), suspend an account, or permanently ban it. Repeated violations usually lead to escalating sanctions. Serious violations — such as threats, child exploitation, NCII, or terrorism — may lead to an immediate permanent ban and a report to the authorities.

Appeals

If you think we got a decision wrong, contact support@getrepvia.com within 30 days of the decision. Include enough detail for us to find the case. A human who was not the original decision-maker will review the appeal where practicable. Restrictions usually stay in place during the appeal. We aim to respond within 14 business days.
